Under the New Zealand Public Health and Disability Act, a DHB board has three statutory advisory committees which typically consist of both members of the public and board members of the DHB. These committees provide a key means for community voices to be heard.
Management and staff who prepare the Board and Committee papers are all heavily engaged in the response planning and implementation of COVID19. To enable them to concentrate their efforts on this work, the Board has agreed to combine the Hospital Advisory Committee and Community & Public Health Advisory Committee meetings into a single meeting for the next 3-6 months. Public papers will be available one week prior to the meeting as normal. Board meetings will continue as usual.
If you would like to attend one of the public meetings of the Board or its Sub Committees, can you please contact the Board Secretary who will provide the appropriate teleconference details for that particular meeting. The Board Secretary can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
