Counties regularly administer an inpatient survey to patients who have been in one of our facilities overnight. From this, we are able to produce reports that highlight aspects of our care that are important to our patients. The focus of this report is on fundamental care and in particular, how we establish the relationship with patients and integrate physical, psychological and relational care needs within the context of care. The report uses the words of our patients and gives insights into how we as health practitioners connect with patients and establish a relationship so their fundamental care needs can be met.
