Celebrating our Administrative Professionals’ today

Today is Administrative Professionals’ Day and is the perfect opportunity to thank all our admin professionals who are crucial in organising our hospital services!

Out of our many hardworking admin staff, we are shining a light on Arlene Juventin-Laulua Paipa, who is the Executive Assistant to Chief Medical Officer, Andrew Connolly.

For Arlene, everybody counts and deserves respect—a value shared by our organisation, whakawhanaungatanga (to make everyone feel welcome and valued).

"I've learned from everyone in every type of role at Middlemore Hospital. The kind of people that work at Middlemore genuinely care about what they do, and because of this they are willing to go that extra mile for their patients and staff."

Arlene joined Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau in 2020 as an administrator and likened her introduction to the organisation as ‘an initiation by fire’ as her training came only two weeks before the COVID pandemic started.

In 2021, Arlene became the Administrator, supporting the Service Manager to Middlemore Central and CCC. Now in a new role as an Executive Assistant, Arlene has put all of her admin experience and knowledge to use.

"Like most administrators we take our job seriously. For me, I am proud of anything I can do in my role as an administrator to help others.”
