This week, at Counties Manukau, we are celebrating International Nurses Day and we’re bringing you the stories of some our fine RNs.
Today’s nurse is Michella Baguna, who works in one of Middlemore’s general medical wards, 33E.
Michelle tells us she came into her training here straight from the Philippines about three years ago and has always loved her time in 33E.
“It’s a general medical ward with lots of variety. I have managed to rise through ranks quite quickly, and I have become a second Charge Nurse and a Clinical Coach.
“Nursing kind of runs in my family! I have three siblings, all in nursing, and a couple of them work nearby.”
Michelle’s dream is to become a Nurse Practitioner, but she says she will be happy with any role that helps people on their health journey.
