Hi, I'm Justine Tito and I work as a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Middlemore Hospital's Emergency Department.
I'm a bit of a veteran – I've been here for 13 years, following a career as a Registered Nurse in Plastics and General Medicine.
As a Nurse Specialist, I'm more heavily involved in in-depth assessment of patients, the ordering of diagnostic procedures, and management and treatment of patients.
I'm fortunate to work closely with patients and whaanau, and quite often I am involved in their journey from admission to discharge.
It's most gratifying to follow their progress all the way through to discharge or referral to another specialised service within Counties Manukau.
