The Clinical Training & Education Centre (CTEC) is a multi-disciplinary training facility available for the continued development of all clinical skills for Counties staff and community groups. We utilise both available technology and simulation techniques, to provide a professional and effective educational experience.
The Clinical Training and Education Centre was founded out of a need to improve the onsite ability of staff to develop and maintain skills and abilities in all aspects of healthcare and promotion. We presently offer courses that include but are not limited to resuscitation and emergency life support, crises management in anesthesia, IV therapy, and cannulation training, Response to the deteriorating patient, insitu simulation training, simulation training for Emergency staff, neonatal staff, paediatric staff. Familiarisation with any new equipment used in the hospital in relation to patient care.
Your Basic Life Support refresher requirements can be provided by the Resuscitation Instruction Team at the Clinical Training and Education Centre (CTEC) at CMH.
We cater for clerical staff, and nursing staff completing the appropriate level of CPR certificate for your PHO. Please contact us and book a date that suits you. Maximum number per session 18.
