The Centre for Youth Health is a team of health professionals who provide advice and support for young people, along with their whaanau/families.

The Centre support young people living in the Counties Manukau area aged 12-24 years with complicated health and youth development concerns that need specialist support. This includes young people with chronic and complex health conditions, including developmental concerns, psychosomatic health issues, high-risk health behaviours and gender affirming health care.

Our team includes nurses, doctors, social workers and youth health workers. We provide support to young people experiencing health issues that have a significant impact on their lives.

We work closely with your GP / family doctor and anyone helping with your care.

Youth School Health Services

Clinical support is provided by Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau to nurses who deliver free healthcare for youth in school based health services in the district. Services in decile 1-5 schools are funded and provide free, confidential, accessible, youth-friendly healthcare.

Health services range between schools and include physical, mental, emotional and social assessment and intervention. There are a range of other health services that provide healthcare in some schools, these may include General Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner services, Contraception and Sexual Health, Physiotherapy, Alcohol and Other Drug services, Mental Health services, District Nursing services, among others.
