CM Health appoints first community infectious disease/dermatology nurse
In a national first, Counties Manukau Health has created the role of community dermatology and infectious diseases nurse specialist. Kusum Narayan works in their own homes with adult patients experiencing complex recurrent skin conditions, to help prevent their readmission to hospital.
CM Health to open new and innovative ward in time for winter demand
Media release 1 June 2018 | Counties Manukau Health is opening a newly renovated 30-bed ward at Middlemore Hospital in order to meet the increased demand associated with winter. Ward 21 on level 5 of the Galbraith building will open on July 9, 2018 as a General Medicine ward.

Chair tours Middlemore site
The new chair of Counties Manukau Health, Vui Mark Gosche, yesterday toured Middlemore site buildings, including the Galbraith and Scott buildings and KidzFirst. Next week (16 May) the Board will receive a report about the Galbraith building, including an expert, peer reviewed report about its earthquake status.
