With Auckland’s move to the orange ‘traffic light’ setting proposed to come into place Thursday, 30 December our visiting policy will remain largely the same as under the red setting. All patients will be supported to nominate two registered whaanau (Kaitiaki/partners in care), preferably from the same bubble.

As the yearend approaches, I’d like to pay tribute to the extraordinary team at Counties Manukau Health. Since this COVID-19 Delta outbreak began in August, our DHB has had the most cases in New Zealand and Middlemore has had over 500 admissions of COVID-19 patients.
